About Me:

Hi, I'm Roee, a passionate game developer and programmer with expertise in game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine. I specialize in bringing creative ideas to life through immersive gameplay experiences, utilizing my skills in C# and C++. As a recent graduate of Tiltan's Game Design and Development course, I'm excited to apply my technical and creative abilities to the world of game development. I'm always eager to tackle new challenges, continuously learn, and push the boundaries of what's possible in interactive entertainment.

Projects Showcase.

Welcome! This video highlights my journey as a Game Development student in Tiltan's Game Design and Development course. Throughout this experience, I had the opportunity to explore various aspects of game creation, from design to programming (and even production). Here are some of the projects I've developed during my studies, showcasing the skills and creativity I've honed along the way. I hope you enjoy seeing the passion and hard work that went into bringing these ideas to life!

Projects:

This project was developed during my second year as part of the Game Production course, which aimed to replicate the real-world process of game production. Together with my team, we set out to create a game where players react to music and rhythm, drawing inspiration from the dynamic, beat-driven gameplay of Rayman Legends.

This project was developed during a three-week Hackathon in November 2023, organized to help students focus on new projects following the tragic events of the 7/10 Attack on Israel. My team and I set out to create a story-driven game about an adult returning to his hometown, where he must confront unresolved trauma from his past. We aimed for a colorful yet slightly unsettling atmosphere, reflecting the distorted memories of the people from his childhood and the haunting experiences he must face.

This project was developed in my final year as part of the Game Production 2 course, which aimed to replicate the real-world process of game production. My team and I set out to create a grid-based strategic game where the player controls a party of three characters to take down a powerful boss. We chose a microscopic theme, pitting bacteria and diseases against medicines, with the core gameplay focusing on strategic teamwork and coordination between the party members.

This project was developed as the final assignment for my Unreal Engine C++ course. The objective was to create a military base that the player must infiltrate to retrieve a valuable chip. I wanted to design an unconventional military base, evoking the atmosphere of a dictatorship ruled with an iron fist. To achieve this, I carefully selected high-quality assets from the Unreal Engine Marketplace. The project features a range of mechanics, including a weapon pickup system, enemies with patrol behavior, and the crucial chip the player must secure. It combines both Blueprints and C++ programming.

This project was developed as the final assignment for my Unreal Engine Blueprints course. The goal was to create an adventure game set in a bar, where the player must retrieve a key and complete a quest to finish the level. I drew inspiration from a bar in my hometown, CharlieBar, blending its atmosphere with a more modern, bright-lit bar design. To push myself further, I implemented a dialogue system, which turned out to be surprisingly challenging using Blueprints rather than traditional programming language scripting, which made the project a rewarding learning experience.
